Sound

Below are the tracks that were chosen to be in our production.

1. Hung Up - Madonna
This was chosen as our opening track which introduced our Athenian characters and gave an insight into their personalities.
We choreographed this scene with our three ladies choosing their men. Twice Emma (Hermia)'s skirt ripped during this scene!

2. Blue Moon
We chose this track to create sympathy from the audience for geeky Helena, who was rejected by both Lysander and Demetrius.

3. Horse It Into Ya Cynthia - Conal Gallen
We selected this song to bring the Workmen on stage. We thought by adding a bit of Norn Iron into the play will allow our audience to relate to our characters! And it worked!

4. Ghosts - Siobhan Donaghy
So many people have asked us, the Sound Crew, what this track was called because everyone loves it so much! It sounds so magical and is perfect for introducing the fairies and Oberon's Army. Download the full version here.

5. Physical - Olivia Newton John
More laughs here for the Workmen, who decide to do a workout before rehearsing their play. We can't decide if Robert's yoga, John's lunges or Conor's headstand was most funny.

6. Bad Things - Jace Everett
If your a True Blood fan you might recognise this track as the theme song. We played this cue every time Titania and Bottom walked on stage, it was hilarious, because, well...a Fairy and a donkey and that song just isn't supposed to mix!

7. Nocturne
We chose this because it suitably had the lyrics "A midsummer's night..." in it. It was used to show how everything in the complicated love triangle had been fixed.

8. 20th Century Fox
We used this famous track to introduce the Workmen's production of Pyramus and Thisbe. It allowed t
he whole atmosphere to build up, expecting that their show will be magnificent...but it really wasn't.

9. Forest Sounds
This sound was used in Oberon and Puck's final speeches.

10. Fairytale - Alexander Rybak
We used this track for the curtain call. Everyone was singing it during rehearsals!
